1. What is your favorite outfit pin?
Searching for this, I have to admit, I don't actually pin outfits. I pin items. so... nothing to share for this one!


2. What is your favorite food pin?
I found these fabulous parmesan garlic knots on Pinterest a few weeks ago, and I've made them twice. They were so easy and awesome!

3. What is your favorite wedding pin?
Yeah, don't really have one of these. Our wedding was more than five years ago!

4. What is your favorite DIY/craft pin?
I'm proud of this pin, because it's one of the only things I've created and shared on Pinterest! I love my earring display frame!

5. What is your favorite quote/verse/lyric pin?
There are too many of these! So I'm sharing two, one from my 2012 board, and one from my 2013 board!

6. Share one more random pin you love!
I have a "Disney Love" pin board that is my absolute favorite. It always makes me happy when I find something to pin it too!

Sunday Social: Reflecting on Summer

1. What was your favorite trip/vacation/activity this summer?

Our family beach vacation in Seaside, definitely!

2. What was your favorite outfit look or clothing item of the summer?

Shockingly, this summer I didn't have one. I got into leggings to work out in, and stuck with sundresses a lot, but never found that go-to dress this summer.... Oh well!

3. What is one thing you wish you'd gotten to do this summer?

I wish I'd gotten to take a little more time off, just for fun, to stay caught up on life. But it's been too busy - things have been going non-stop!

4. What was your favorite song of the summer?

I Am Confident from Ronnie Freeman's latest album...... it's been such an uplifting song!

5. What is your favorite movie or tv show of the summer?

Well that one is easy. Hands down.... love this show.

Social Sunday: Looking Forward

I have officially survived one of the craziest weeks of my year! Cheers y'all. I feel like today I might have earned a mimosa or two... What do you think?

Anyways, here's to a great week ahead, and a few fun questions about looking forward in life!

1. What is something you've always wanted to do but are afraid of?
That's a darn good question. I'd love to be able to teach a larger class, but I'm afraid of speaking to large groups. I feel like one day I might get adjusted enough to do that though!

2. Where do you see yourself in five years?
I hope the next five years hold a lot of change for me and Mr. Jones...

3. What are you looking forward to before the end of 2013?
I'm looking forward to celebrating a whole lot. In November, Mr. Jones will turn 30. In December, we'll celebrate five years of marriage. It's going to be so, so awesome.

4. What are your hopes for your blog?
I want to be more consistent, sponsor a blog or two that I love, and just grow things a little more overall!

5. Do you see yourself always living in your current city?
Yep. Born, raised and adore it here. But I'll always have my eye on travel.

6. What is your morning routine?
This is harder to answer than it should be! My routine has been shifting with my Couch to 5K workouts. A morning with a workout usually has me up at 5:30, done by 6:15, showered and getting ready, brewing some coffee and icing it for my morning caffeine jolt.... and out the door by 7:30. With school back in gear, that's going to have to shift to 7:15 or so if I want to be on time! Boring, but I love my early mornings when I get so much done!

Social Sunday: Books, Cell Phones and More

Happy Sunday y'all! Here's to getting caught up at home and on the blog this week after 8 incredible days of vacation!

1. When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
What didn't I want to be might be a better question... a coach, an ice skater, and later on, a writer.
Which is good since that's what I wound up being, right?

2. What was your favorite way to kill time as a kid?
Reading a book. I can read multiple books in a day if I have nothing else to do, even now. I could disappear for hours and hours at a time as a kid with a stack of Nancy Drew novels!

3. When did you get your first cell phone?
I think I was 13 or 14. It was before I was driving, but it was when I was traveling for volleyball and basketball without my parents on a regular basis.

4. What is your favorite magazine to read?
Real Simple. It's simply the best. :-)

5. What is the one random object people would be surprised to find in your purse?
Hmm.... good question. I'm not sure anything is surprising, but I do have a little three-zip Le Sport Sac pouch that I use to keep all my essentials. Lotion bar, jump drive, lip gloss and more, so I don't forget anything when I swap purses!

Social Sunday: Catch Us Up With Your Life

Happy Sunday y'all....

Alabama football survived a crazy night in Death Valley last night, and I'm grateful we escaped with a win! Anyways, I wanted to pop in on this lazy Sunday and play a little Social Sunday fun.... It's a great day. The house is clean, laundry is done, and I'm curled up in bed blogging and watching the first season of Revenge on Netflix.

What is currently on your wish list?
So many things. Goodness!

What is a new fall TV show you have added to your DVR?
Revenge. It's been DVRing all season long, and I'm catching up on season one on Netflix before I start it. I'm obsessed.

There are two TV series I can watch over and over - Gilmore Girls and The West Wing. I love them so much! I'm currently hooked on Alicia Keys' song "Girl on Fire" - it's my theme song right now!

Social Sunday: Looking ahead...

Happy Sunday, y'all. As you can tell from my disappearance, I'm in the middle of two INSANE weeks, but I'm taking time for me (and coffee) this morning to have a little fun.

It's a great week for Social Sunday with Neely and Ashley, so here we go....

1. What is something you have wanted to do but you're afraid of?
Honestly, there could be so many things to put here. I think the biggest for right now is to not be afraid of big changes. I want to be okay with taking some chances on life! Vague, I know, but that's about all I can say!

2. Where do you see yourself in five years?
I see Mr. Jones and I with at least one little one around. Maybe two. Hopefully in our forever home, or looking for it by then. It's a fun time to imagine to say the least!

3. What are you looking forward to before the end of 2012?
I'm looking forward to a trip to Ohio with my sister to see my godmother! It's been years since I was up there and my sister has never been. I'm also looking forward to planning and throwing our first Thanksgiving open house. (Cross your fingers on that one, please!)

4. What are your hopes for your blog?
I want to get a new design. I want to continue to love it. I want to see my three bloggy BFFs again soon. And I want to meet some other lovely ladies. And hopefully attend Blissdom sometime!

5. Do you always see yourself living in your current town/city?
Yes! It's home sweet home, and I've always lived here. It's big enough to offer variety, small enough to offer comfort.... it's perfect for us. We won't be going anywhere, except for on some fabulous trips to see the world I hope!

Pinterest! Facebook is just TMI, and Pinterest is just so much fun and perfect for idea sharing!

4. Twitter or Instagram? Why?

Twitter, of course. I live on Twitter, and Instagram... it's just not a necessity for me!

Social Sunday: Fall

It's that time of the week again! 

Happy Sunday lovelies. 

I'm totally with Neely and Ashley this week - I'm ready for fall to get here!!!

1. What is your favorite fall activity?
I love being able to sit outside with a glass of wine and a book. Sure there is the hustle and bustle of football season with holidays looming, but I love the simple parts of fall, where you enjoy beautiful weather! It's my favorite time of year!

2. Do you follow a football team? If so, which one and why?
Hmm.... unless you're new to the blog, you know this one already! I'm a die-hard Alabama fan! Born and raised, it's a huge part of my family, and Mr. Jones' family as well! I'm a two-time graduate, and I traveled to Pasadena in 2009 and New Orleans in 2011 to watch the Crimson Tide win the BCS national championship! Those aren't the only national titles I've been on hand to watch Alabama win lately though. I saw Alabama gymnastics (go mom and dad!) win back-to-back NCAA titles in 2011 and 2012, and I saw my sweet sister win Alabama softball's first NCAA title in June!

3. What is something fun about fall in your area?
Well, football runs the fall in Alabama. I love to be in Bryant-Denny Stadium on a game day, but more than that, I love away weekends where life is a little more calm, and you're still surrounded by friends and family to cheer your team on (in air conditioning!)

4. Favorite fall outfit staples?
All things houndstooth, of course! But other than that, I wear cardigans almost every single day. They're my favorite! I want to try some new scarves this fall, and some closed toe wedges to go with them! (I'm taking suggestions!)

5. Thing you are looking forward to most about this coming fall season?
Hmmm... it might be better to ask what I'm not looking forward to! There are so many fun and exciting things coming up. Parties, football games, my birthday! It'll be fabulous!

6. Favorite fall holiday? Traditions?
I'm a September birthday girl, and Mr. Jones' birthday is right around Thanksgiving, so we've got a ton happening! We're hoping to start a new tradition this year, hosting our first annual Thanksgiving open house! I'll be sure to keep everyone up to date, especially when planning kicks in to high gear!
