Nothing like a game night...

It's no secret around these parts that our little family is made up of two homebodies, and a puppy. It's fun. We love spending time in our house, together, just doing silly little things.

I was so excited when I got won a Monopoly Unleashed House Party because it was just up our alley. And Monopoly outdid themselves with the party pack. Monopoly (with the NEW cat token), Connect 4, Candy Land, and Monopoly Millionaire Deal showed up at our house, along with some Monopoly accessories including a new bowl for Eve....

We packed up some of the games, and had our first little party at the beach with my family, where Monopoly Millionaire Deal was a hit beach-side. It's a card game version of Monopoly that plays quick and fun games on the go. We already had Monopoly deal, and we were excited to add this to our collection.

After we got home from the beach, we hosted a few of our friends for a low-key game night. Things got started with a Connect 4 tournament. Husband was funny, and he lost to a friend in the finals. (I didn't make it that far!)

We even had a few fun cocktails, along with lots of snacks!

I wasn't as excited about the Monopoly cat token, but the dog has always been a favorite of mine, so I procured him for my run around the board. I came in second in our big Monopoly game.....

I hadn't played a full game of Monopoly in years, and we played with the "speed it up" dice, so that made it a little quicker than normal. Such a classic game with new twists like that is perfect for a night in!

It's the little (free) things...

The little things in life are just kind of awesome. They're my favorites. The notes, the snail mail. The snail mail when it's a freebie for sure! And boy, has my mailbox been full lately....

I've had so much luck lately, and I had to take a second to write about it! I keep up with sites like Crowdtap and E-Rewards where you get prizes and gift cards for taking surveys and challenges.

A few weeks ago, this beauty arrived from my E-Rewards account!

Then two weeks ago, I found out I was selected as a House Party Monopoly Unleashed host. Squeal! We are total board game people, so this means I get to host an awesome party with new games for free and invite my friends. I'm so excited to have my box arrive full of Monopoly games that I get to keep!

And on top of all that fun, I won a wonderful blogger's giveaway, and it arrived a couple of weeks ago. Thanks Christina, for your Scentsy giveaway! If you're looking for a good read, check our her blog, Easily Entertained.

Then yesterday when I was having a tough morning trying to get lots accomplished at work, I got an email from The Preppy Student. I had won my choice of a dress from Tracy Negoshian. Y'all. A $150 dollar dress. For free. I honestly don't think it gets much better than that. I cannot wait for it to arrive.

I'm feeling lucky right now. What can I say!?!?

A free little beauty box...

A fellow blogger told me about Influenster's VoxBox a few months ago, and my first one came last week!  My Summer Beauty VoxBox was full of fun surprises that I am so excited to try out. Some are actually ones I already had tried, but a few were new to me.

Before this box, I'd already used and loved:
- Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration Lotion Sunscreen SPF 30 ($8.99 for 6 oz bottle)
- Tampax and Always Radiant Collection

I'm really excited to try out these three products:
- Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color ($9.99)
- Sally Hansen Nails and Cuticles Hand Creme ($5.99)
- Quacker Soft Baked Bar in Banana Nut Bread ($3.29 for package of bars)

Diving Into Summer At Old Navy...

I absolutely love being able to be a part of the Old Navy Style Council! It's been one of my favorite parts about Crowdtap. Talk about excited, few things get me excited about summer more than the opportunity to pick out a free swimsuit! I had a ball with one of my girlfriends as we tore through the store to find our picks before closing time. (Yep, with my trip to OKC, we were pushing the deadline! Life got BUSY, what can I say?)

We sure had fun thought - below is my transformation from working girl to beach bum!

I was all set on the blue suit, and then on my way out, I found the same suit in a different print, and I was all about the vertical print instead of stripes, so I came home with the pink colored suit instead!

I am such a fan of tankinis. I just like a little more coverage, what can I say? Old Navy had a ton. These beauties are precious, and I really want to go back and try the black and white suit on too. What do you think?

There were some super cute dresses on sale - for just $17! That's a total steal. I needed an all-white dress, and I found one during this shopping trip. I was so excited. I'd looked at all the big stores, department stores, TJ Maxx, you name it. Lo and behold, it came from Old Navy. I was so happy! And then it rang up, not $36, but $17. I danced all the way home.

Here we are with our picks for the night! Loved our suits - and my white dress purchase!

 

Thanks Old Navy! So glad I'm a part of the Old Navy Style Council. Have you been there lately? It's still one of my favorites this year.

Frugal Friday: Freebies!

TBIt has been forever since I've posted about my lovely couponing habit, and it's because I've been rather slow and behind with it. I haven't done a ton except for groceries, partly because we just haven't needed as much! That's the nice thing about having a mini stockpile, right?

I have gotten a couple of cool freebies in the mail! I do e-Rewards surveys for certain values, and you get "cash" you can redeem for gift cards and the like. I had $75 in e-Rewards values, so I snagged a $25 Starbucks card for nothing. I was excited. The surveys are simple most of the time and I do them when I'm bored. I like free money!

And from a reward I had already entered, I won a big prize this weekend! I had to sign for my mail and I had no idea why on Saturday.... imagine my surprise when the Disney Car Land Adventure Sweepstakes sent me a $100 Target card! Super excited to take care of a few house things with it, that's for sure. (Like a new back door mat!)

The ultimate freebies...

So last week, Sears Optical posted a fabulous coupon that a savings blog I read shared. I printed a coupon for me. And one for my husband.

The free item they were giving away to get new people in their doors? Revlon sunglasses, regularly priced $99.99.  Here is a Sears coupon to possibly save on sunglasses for yourself!

So, I went. And then Mr. Jones went later. They were still in stock, so I have $200 worth of sunglasses for FREE! So excited. Do you like them?

Kudos to my sweet husband for using his coupon to get me a second pair! I'm excited about having these for vacation in a few weeks!

Kicking off the Holidays...

So, I got my first physical Klout perk on Friday afternoon! I was sooooo excited to get this Klout perk, because Macy's and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has always had a special place in Mr. Jones' heart. It's his birthday. He's a Thanksgiving baby. And he loves years like this when his birthday falls on Thanksgiving again. So, he got a little excited when I showed it to him!

A few thoughts:

- The packaging was super cute!

- The cookbook looks fabulous! I'll have to try a few things and share my favorites.

- It's a seriously big and cool cookbook. And it retails for about $25. Which makes me giggly that I got it for free! Thank you Klout - and Macy's!

Frugal Friday: I ❤ free pizza!

Yeah, we had a fabulous free dinner on Thursday night with some random coupons I scored on Facebook for Domino's and Hungry Howie's!

Mr. Jones was happy! We tried to spinach and alfredo artisan pizza and the sausage and pepper artisan pizza from Domino's, and had a small cheese pizza from Hungry Howie's. Plus, leftovers! Score!

I ❤ mail days...

I've come home to lots of mail this past week! I think I was most excited about winning Pureology! They are decent sized samples for sure! 

The Cascade and wipes were Wal-Mart freebies, but I figured I'd include them here. Nothing more I love than doing my dishes for free! :-)
