New workouts and more....
Happy Super Bowl!
We're kind of sort of watching the game, while I simultaneously cook and clean and all that jazz. It's been a pretty good, relaxing weekend. But I still never feel like everything is done! You know what I mean?
Anyways, on to what I want to talk about tonight: workouts. I'm pretty darn proud of myself. I've been doing well. The scale at my gym is broken right now, so I'm not quite sure where I stand weight-loss wise, but I'll know soon enough.
More than a week ago, I started something new. And I'm hooked. I took my first Zumba class. I haven't gotten to go to another one, but my sweet husband gave me the Xbox 360 Kinect Zumba game. Addicting. And painful.
I took Sunday off, then on Monday I had the bright idea to try another new thing. Jillian Michaels. I did "Shred It With Weights" and thought I was going to die. :-)
So, this is what my last week looked like in workouts:
Saturday: 60 minute Zumba class
Sunday: Off
Monday: 25 minute Jillian Michael's Shred It With Weights
Tuesday: 25 minutes elliptical; 21 minutes treadmill
Wednesday: 35 minutes elliptical
Thursday: Off
Friday: 20 minutes elliptical; 20 minutes treadmill
Saturday: Off
Not bad, right? I didn't have any plans for last week, but I'm going to try to plan things out this week We'll see how that goes. Today I did a 20 minute session of Zumba with the Xbox. Loved it!
What types of workouts are you guys doing? Any suggestions?

Staying on track...
Well, as we've discussed on here previously, I'm trying to lose weight. I've gotten more serious about it since Christmas, and with 2011 here, it's kind of one of my "to dos" for the year.
I'm actually happy to report that while I'm not currently doing Weight Watchers PointsPlus, I have been hitting the gym a lot. Getting sick derailed my "eat healthy" plans, but I'm still pretty on track! Score! Since I last got on the scale about 2 weeks ago, I'm down 5 lbs.
One of my new fitness favorites has been my Nike Frees. I love them. They are so light. And yes, the neon yellow is a little obnoxious, but I really like them. Has anyone else gotten a pair?
I'm trying to make up a specific plan for what I want to do to keep this weight loss going, and I'm sure I will and I'll blog it, but for now I'm just happy I'm on the right track!
Here's to 2011!
