Magic Kingdom, here I come!

And our final theme park day has arrived. We will be ringing in the new year at the Magic Kingdom tonight. This really is my happy place, and the highlight of our trip. I can't wait to tell you all about it!

EPCOT

Today is EPCOT day and I'm so excited! We didn't make it here on our trip in April, and I'm so excited. My Christmas present from my sweet husband is our dinner tonight and I really couldn't be more excited! He surprised me with a reservation at the French restaurant Le Chefs De France, where we rang in the new year on our honeymoon!

Swoon! Can't wait for this world full of fun of a day!

Christmas favorites: stocking stuffers

My stocking is one of my absolute favorite things in the world. It's more fun that all the Christmas presents usually. I got two stockings this year. One on Christmas Eve morning from my sweet Mr. Jones. The other on Christmas morning from Santa (aka, Mom).

Molly Mutt!!!

I can't remember where I read it, but one of the bloggers I read blogged about Molly Mutt dog duvets a while back. After Eve Belle's accident with a mean dachshund, I ordered her this as a perk up/Christmas present. She's in love.

I was worried about spending $25 on the duvet if she was going to tear it up. She destroyed her last two beds. But, this one is sturdy, and thick fabric. And she hasn't left a mark on it yet! HOORAY!

So, here she is in all her new bed glory:

And then, of course, there's the bed we find her in every morning. Ours. On our pillows. Under our covers. Love it. It makes it sooooo hard to leave!

A fabulous first....

My very first Louis Vuitton. Goodbye grad school and thesis. Hello big girl purse. I've had it for about a month now, but I never really managed to blog about it. I got the Speedy 60 and I adore it. It's my new best friend. Next to Mr. Jones and Eve Belle of course!

A Simple Celebration

Two years ago today, I married my best friend. It's been an adventure, for sure. We've still got a lot to look forward to in the next few weeks as well - Christmas, Orlando, Disney, Harry Potter at Universal.....

I am grateful for a partner that loves me, listens to me, and continues to dream dreams for our future right along with me. I'm not sure it gets any better than that.

Checking in on Eve Belle!

Our little Eve Belle is doing a lot better after her accident last Friday night. My parents' dog bit her, slicing her lower eyelid open! I cried so hard when I saw all that blood on my baby girl's face!

Some "me" time...

It was much-needed. So I took some. And now I'm happy.

I took yesterday off of work. I was tired. After a super-long weekend that involved my grad school graduation (yay me!) and a lot of issues after my parents' dog bit Eve Belle's face, slicing her lower eyelid open. (Vet trip Monday, surgery to stitch her eye up that afternoon, she was left at the vet all day = SUPER stressed Mommy at work!)

Anyways, I stayed home, watched Cashmere Mafia (all seven episodes of the series - why on earth was it cancelled), did laundry and just enjoyed myself. It was nice. I got TONS done around the house but still managed to rest and rejuvenate myself. Score!

Fast forward to today and I worked until 11:30, headed to a holiday work luncheon, and got dismissed early at 1:30 today! Score again! So, I hit the gym for the first time this week and then headed home.

What have I done since then?
- Shower
- Hair mask
- Face mask
- Eat a brownie
- Watch 24

I think I'm about to tackle a few more things, with a glass of wine in hand of course, then pull out my scrapbooking table for the night. :-) I might even cook and bake.

Thank the good Lord for "me" time!

As you can see, my two Christmas trees are up. The big one is in our living room and the small one, a tradition from my childhood, is in our bedroom. (I love my husband for indulging me! It's not Christmas without my little tree!)

I don't really like the wreath I made for the front door, so it may be altered later this week. I also need to show you my reindeer on the front porch! They are family heirlooms and I love them so.
