A better bleach bottle...

I hate bleach bottles. They're messy. And big. And a pain to work with. I never thought I'd be the girl who got bothered over something like that, but I did.

And I found a way to fix it! I finished off a Method bottle of fabric softener and got to work cleaning it out. Once it was clean and dry, I poured the rest of my latest bottle of Clorox into it.

And, ta DA! A clean, pump-happy bleach bottle.

Seriously, I love it. I love that it's easy to use. I love that it was free, and solved a problem. So, I'm sharing my idea, and hoping it can solve anyone else's OCD problem with bleach bottles too!

Happy cleaning y'all!

A sign of aging...

So... I took  a day to run errands and hit some stores about 45 minutes away from us. And that's when I realized, I'm getting old.

I may just be 27, but really? When my favorite - and most anticipated - purchase of the day was a four pack of Williams-Sonoma dish towels for $19.95? Yep, I think I've reached that point.

They are pretty. And soft. And so much nicer than the Target towels I've been using for four years... If I've got to cook and clean, I might as well love my tools right? That's what I'm telling myself for now anyways. Because I'm not ready to admit that I'm getting old.

XOXO,
Mrs. Jones

PS) I still want more towels.

August: The To Do List

Happy August everyone!

Can you believe we're gearing up for fall? I know it doesn't feel like it here in Alabama with all the heat and such, but we're getting there, slowly but surely!

With another month here, I wanted to do something a little new. I love what Carolyn does on her blog. Monthly to do lists, where she checks in on last month's progress. So this month, I'm going to give it a try. I'm going to post my goals and big to do items, and see how far I get!

Goals:
- Kill the clutter. Donate or get rid of things that really don't need to be in our house.
- Work out three days a week, for at least 45 minutes.
- Spend some time at the pool. (Sad that this has to be a goal, but I want to find some enjoyment at the pool before the season is over and I've missed out on it!)
- Stay organized. Keep my planner up to date, and don't let projects and deadlines sneak up on me.

To do:
- Figure out how I want the guest room and office set up before football season arrives.
- Complete scrapbook pages for a BFF's birthday gift.
- Make my birthday wish list.
- Start planning the Christmas present list. (Yes, I start this early!)

I know I'm forgetting things, but we'll start small for this month and see how I do!

Have a wonderful rest of the week lovelies!

Laundry experiments...

It's no secret I'm a fan of Crowdtap. I love it - but I love it even more when I get sent a dozen samples of Woolite Extra Dark to try and share with my friends. (Apparently my friends like it a lot too!)

I finally got around to catching up on laundry this morning and and trying the new Woolite out on my dark sweaters. I was really happy with how it worked! I have to be so particular about laundry detergent, because Mr. Jones gets bothered by certain scents or brands. So far so good with this one though!

I'm grateful for the coupon Woolite included, because I think I'll be buying a bottle to use with my favorite jeans and sweaters. I have the hardest time keeping dark sweaters looking good - do you have that problem too? I think this is going to help a lot!

What are you laundry secrets or tips? I'm dying to know! Here's to finishing all of the laundry and getting things organized for an impending beach trip!

Clearing my head...

Morning lovelies!

I'm sitting here absolutely beat, but in a good way. For the first time in about six weeks? I got a lot done to start my day! Victory is mine!

The garden is watered.
The tiny front porch is swept and the ferns are watered too.
Laundry has been going all morning.

In other news.... I got a haircut! Finally. It was needed after pulling my hair up for 3 1/2 weeks while so sick. And highlights. Oh the highlights! Not the best picture, but you get what I mean....

I've found another tea I love (another sick-time find!) and I want to try this new line of OPI nail polish for a mani-pedi soon.....

Happy Saturday morning everyone. I'm going to try to get caught up on all I have to share this week, so you'll be hearing a lot from me!

XOXO,
Mrs. Jones

Keeping it real...

A little bit of a "life lately" picture post for you guys. I have mentioned all the scrapbooking I've been getting done. It's fun. And totally set up in the middle of my living room.

Eve thinks it is all more toys for her.

And my most embarrassing picture from the last week:

Yeah, I got pretty behind in the kitchen after a cooking and baking spree. It has been remedied though, I promise.

Just letting you see that I am me! :-)

Happy Thursday,
Mrs. Jones
