The Vacation Blogs: Part 1, Disney World

We had a blast spending a wonderful Saturday at Disney World to kick off our vacation! We got to the park (Magic Kingdom of course!) at about 10 a.m. and didn't leave until 10:30 p.m.! Talk about a long and fun day!

So that was what our first day looked like for the most part. Then there were the funny things. Hahaha. The things that require actual explanations. So here we go:

My little sister is graduating from high school next month, and it took all of my will power NOT to buy this for her. I succeeded - meaning, I did not purchase it. She would have laughed, and never played with it. Unlike my wife ears that I still slip on every now and then to turn a bad day around. (Yep, I'm admitting that on here.) So, I took a picture and tagged her in it on Facebook instead. Saved $20, right? I just thought they were hilarious. We actually saw some kids wearing them at Disney World though.

The other thing that requires some actual explanation is this:

Like, ohmigosh. Dooney & Bourke makes and exclusive Disney line. I die. I die. I died a little inside when Mr. Jones said no. To understand, you have to know my love of all things Disney and Disney World. And then you also have to understand that my first "nice" purse was a pink Dooney & Bourke  barrel bag when I was in high school. I still use it and love it. I don't want the big bags, but I would absolutely die for the little wristlet with the Mickey outline (as seen above) on it. I mean, too precious. So yeah, those are my two funny pics that require explanations.

Hope you've enjoyed a little Disney fun today! Cruise blogs and pics coming your way very soon!

Travel promotional codes are often available for Disney park savings.

Happy Friday!

Wishful Wednesday: I'm a big girl now!

So, I'm totally thinking that this big girl job means I need a big girl wardrobe, right? I know I showed ya'll what I ordered from The Limited last week, and everything but the skirt fit really well! I was so excited. I still need some cardigans, but Express doesn't have my favorite ones right now - or so it seems.

Thoughts and suggestions welcome. Here's what I'm crushing on now!

$118

I have this lovely top in black, and I'm dying for it in all colors. Especially blue. Cheap and pretty - and stretch fabric! Yay! However, they are currently sold out. It kills me. I want!!!!

$19.99

and then for fun.....

$78

So, what do you think? What else do I need?

Fabulous Frugal Friday: April 16

Happy Friday!

In case the title of this post hasn't given it away, I've finally come up with a day and name for my couponing posts! I've decided to go with Fabulous Frugal Fridays. :-)  I like it. It's fun and no-nonsense at the same time. What do you think? I totally reserve the right to change my mind on how all of this goes.....

Anyways, this week, I want to show you what I've gotten for free lately!

Here's what I got from Target, CVS and the mail recently:

Detail shots:

I got some great freebies in the mail. Kotex, U by Kotex, Ever Pure shampoo and conditioner and Puffs Plus! The Puffs had some great coupons in it, which I used to get FREE Puffs at CVS this week.

See?

CVS has had some awesome in-store coupons lately too. All that toilet paper? Well, we've almost been out of toilet paper this week, but I just dreaded spending the money on it. So imagine my surprise and happiness when CVS kiosks started printing $1 CVS paper products every day. CVS Earth Essentials TP is 2/$1 right now! So that's getting 2 rolls free almost every day! Rock on.....

I love getting things for free. I love it. It's fun. It's my biggest hobby, since scrap-booking (my all-time favorite) has gotten kind of expensive, and there isn't enough space to do it in the condo.

I'm excited to share more of my couponing and money-saving fun with all you lovely readers. Over the next few weeks, I'll explain how I do things, and how you can make the most of the resources available. Because really, who doesn't love saving money?

Let me know what else you would like to know - I'll be sure to answer any questions I can!

XOXO,
Mrs. Jones

Side note: I've failed miserable at Fitness Fridays, but that doesn't mean I've given up by any means! I'm still trucking along. I think the new job, with set hours, and all that will help me get on a good schedule. I'm trying to eat more salads. I'm really starting to enjoy them. I haven't been to the gym or gotten on a scale lately, and I know it's not pretty. But I'll enjoy working out on the cruise in the mornings, before I lounge around all day. I went on a really nice walk last night..... so, all this to say, I'm not giving up! I'll continue to blog, and you still might see some Fitness Friday posts in the future!

Still celebrating!

So, I know Alabama won the national championship in January. But, honestly, we're still celebrating that win in all the little ways. Cokes, new Tervis Tumblers, you name it. :-)

Mr. Jones Easter basket even had a national championship polo in it, and a new pin for his hat!

So, I just thought I'd show you all the little ways we were still celebrating our wonderful victory in Pasadena! Now basketball season is over, and I'm totally looking forward to this fall already. Is that sad? There's something about football season, ya know?

Happy Friday!
