Changing it up...

Some of you know already, but today marks the first day of a new approach for me. I'm ready to be healthier, to lose weight, and to just feel better.

My aunt and other family members have loved The Primal Blueprint by Mark Sisson. My aunt actually lost 70 lbs following this way of life - and eating. So, yesterday I cleaned out the fridge and the pantry and pared things down to (mostly) what we should be eating.

I hit up Publix this morning, and I've never had so much fresh stuff in my cart. I never even entered a central food aisle. All of my shopping took place on the perimeter. That's a little crazy for me!

I spent a little more than normal, but it wasn't outrageous. I think this will be doable, and Mr. Jones is going to check it out with me, so I'll let you know how we feel at the end of this week. :-)

Do any of my lovely readers do primal or paleo diets? I'm curious to hear what you think and why you chose it!

  1. I don't do paleo, but my doctor put me on a detox that is fairly similar...nothing processed, lean proteins, fruits, veggies, and some dairy. I can see such a difference in the amount of energy I well as my ability to concentrate. The few pounds I've dropped have just been an added bonus. Good luck...and when you think you can't stick with it, just remember you can!!! I prayed a lot those first few weeks!!
