A very Eve Christmas...

Good morning everyone! It's Eve Belle here. I stole Mom's computer and camera so I could show off some of my Christmas pictures! Mom took way too many pictures of me, but I got some presents, so that was okay.

I like presents. I usually only have one or two toys out, but I have a new bed and SIX toys laying out this week. I know that's a lot of fun. Mom keeps following me around with the camera though. She thinks it's funny that I play catch with myself, but whatever.

My Dad was a lot of fun too. He is so good about playing with me. I like to try to lick him to death though. Mom laughs a lot when I do that, so then I do it even more.

Do you have puppies? What did they get for Christmas? I'm sure Mom has more pictures, but that's all for now. I need to go destroy my snowman.

Woof,
EB

NOLA Faves: Tropical Isle

It's been a while since I've been to New Orleans. Like, a long while. We haven't been (together) since three days before Mr. Jones proposed in early January 2008. Mr. Jones has been back for parties and the like, but I haven't been!

I am looking forward to so many things about our trip, so I thought I'd blog about all the things I'm excited for!

One of them is a hand grenade from the Tropical Isle on Bourbon Street. It's the most fun drink ever.

I snapped this picture as we drove through on our way home from the cruise. :-)

I found this close-up online so you can really see the sign!

Have you been to New Orleans and had a hand grenade? They're delicious, and I'm looking forward to one on Jan. 7 when we pull into New Orleans!

A little celebration...

Our anniversary was wonderful. We had a lovely date night. We didn't take any pictures of us at dinner, but we went out to a fabulous local restaurant known for seafood and sushi - and vanilla creme brulee!

We got lucky - a neighbor dropped by with Christmas treats right when we got home, so he got the photos of us in front of our tree. Special! I love them.

I'm so lucky to be married to a fabulous man who loves me and our little puppy girl! He's the best... As long as I've got him, I know life will be a fun adventure. Can't beat that!

Mrs. Jones

Home for Christmas

Well, I did a very poor job of blogging about our Christmas prep, so I guess now that Christmas is over, it's time to catch up on all that fun, right?

When I came home from my cruise, my sweet husband had surprised me by hanging our new curtain rod and curtain in the living room. It's so nice to block out the sun while we're watching tv in the afternoons on the weekends! It looks great and made our tree really pop too!

There was a tacky Christmas party with dear friends.... gotta love them!

As always, EB was a lazy little fur-ball that I can't help but adore for her super cuteness...

And then there were some seriously sweet ornaments on our tree. I love our tree...

There were two precious new ornaments on the tree this year.
My sweet aunt painted this beautiful ornament for us. Roll Tide!

Another edition to the tree was this sweet gift from Katie
It made my day when that showed up in the mail!

I love Christmas. It's my favorite time of the year.... I'm going to cling to it and pretend it's still Christmas for the next week. Who's with me?

Cruising to Christmas: Part 4

Ah, this time last week we were wrapping up our final day on the cruise ship! I miss it, but I'm so very glad to be home for the holidays!

I started Friday morning at the Carnival Spa!!!

Then I hit up the omelette bar - one of my favorite foods on the ship by the way!

I also fell in love with grapefruit on this ship. I loved it!

Then Ash and I curled up on the Serenity patio and enjoyed the view and the sun for most of the day!

We also enjoyed a few little umbrella drinks, as cruisers love to do...

There also may have been some, um, glamour shots involved....

Oh yes, we did.

I'm ready for another cruise and I've only been home for a week. That doesn't bode well, but thanks for recapping my trip with me! I'm always grateful for time at home after a little fun, aren't you?

XOXO and Merry Christmas,
Mrs. Jones

Cruising to Christmas: Part 3

These are a few of my favorite things.... Especially since it is warm (70s) but raining and gross here in Alabama. Not cool. Don't tempt me with warm weather following a vacation only to make it yucky. Not fun at all. So, I'm still reliving all my fun days from last week!

Docked in Progresso, Mexico....

Serenity - the adults-only section, where we spent ALL of our time!
Hot tubs and cushy deck chairs? Yes, please!

Woohoo! Free drinks! I had a ball, and some of my dinner partners were there as well... Mr. Jones and I had taken a Carnival cruise together in April 2010.

How many of you have taken cruises? This was my fourth, including family cruises on the Big Red Boat (ages ago) and the Disney Cruise Line (I was 13) and a Royal Caribbean cruise in college. Mr. Jones and I took one before I got my first job. So, apparently that made this my fifth cruise. I can sure count well. Haha!

Tell me about your cruises!!! What should we do next?

XOXO,
Mrs. Jones

Better Together...

Three years ago today, we said "I do."

It's not always been perfect, but it has been real and good - and most of all, fun. I live with my best friend. We act like kids. We spoil a precious little dog rotten and we are surrounded by wonderful family.

You can't really ask for more, can you?

Together we are better than we are apart. I'm not sure everyone can say that, and I'm proud of where we are in our lives and in our marriage. I love Mr. Jones dearly. I'm looking forward to every year yet to come.

Just wanted to share a little bit of my heart today.

XOXO,
Mrs. Jones

Cruising to Christmas: Part 2

There was some serious fun on our ship! We spent almost all of our time laying in the sun on the "adults only" deck, reading, having a bellini or two and sleeping.

I loved the nights on the boat - sushi before dinner, beautiful lights.... It was heavenly!

I spent most of the week anticipating my date at the spa on Friday morning. I saw the flyer above when we boarded the ship and Mr. Jones said that could be one of my Christmas presents. I hadn't had a massage in a year or two, and I'd never had a facial. (Mmmm heaven.)

The dinners on the ship are heavenly. I love looking nice, having a fun dinner and just enjoying everything! Our elegant night (haha) dinner was escargot, lobster and chocolate melting cake for me! DELISH.

That's all for now...

XOXO,
Mrs. Jones

Cruising to Christmas: Part 1

Last week was awesome. It does not get much better than a pre-Christmas vacation down to Mexico with one of your best friends. We started last Monday and drove down to New Orleans to catch our ship. No trip through NOLA is complete without some fabulous food, so we hit up Daisy Duke's to start things off! I got the shrimp po boy and it was fabulous.

Yeah, I dominated that - minus some of the bread. It was delicious. We headed on down to the port and got on our ship, the Carnival Elation! That first drink never tasted so good. While it was chilly all that afternoon while the ship loaded and we started off, it was heavenly all the same!

Me and Ash ready for a fun week....

That's day one! I'd give anything to head back down there. Oh the sun....

XOXO,
Mrs. Jones
