The Ultimate Fabulous Frugal Friday... BLACK FRIDA

My Black Friday started on Thanksgiving morning. I ran out to get some lovely Starbucks, and hit up CVS.

I started by purchasing one Renpure Organics hair care item for $4.99, which has a buy me free hangtag (score! FREE) and it gave me $4.99 ECBs. I then continued to buy free after ECB items and just kept rolling them into the next item. So, for 2 Renpure hair items, 2 Herbal Essences Hydralicious shampoos, Listerine pocket packs, Carmex and a Varsity Snuggie..... drumroll please!

I paid $11! :-)

I headed out before Black Friday even began, starting Thanksgiving night at 11:30 at Wal-Mart. I picked up a couple of 2 quart crock pots for $2.97 each, two Shop Vacs for $15 each and some cute fleece PJ pants for Mr. Jones and me! Score!

Old Navy was more to keep me awake than anything, but I wound up with socks, tanks, and $5 PJ pants! That line was LONG!

I then stood in line, outside Belk, for AN HOUR, from 3-4 a.m. waiting for Belk to open. They were giving away gift cards to the first 250 people. I wound up with a $5, but that was okay. There were only THREE of what I was hunting for. My dearest husband will be getting a Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Maker for his Christmas present. He has wanted one for years, and it was on SALE!

I ran to Target to get a game for his dad's Christmas present, and I got a precious chenile brown and white houndstooth blanket for us too. Then, I POURED myself into bed at 5:30. Whew.

I slept for about 5 hours, then drug myself out of the house and off to the Iron Bowl, where poor Alabama lost. It hurt. And boy oh boy was I tired!!! Thank goodness my husband agreed to stop for coffee on the way!

That was my black Friday. How was everyone else's? Thanksgiving fun soon!

(I was pretty happy that I wasn't the only one in blog land out and about. My bloggy friend Cole talks about her crazy Black Friday here.)

  1. I am soooo coveting the Margaritaville frozen concoction maker your hubby is getting! It's been on my wish list forever. :-)

You totally scored at CVS! I'm so impressed!

Thanks for the shout-out! It's great to know that even that many states away - that someone is as Black Friday crazy as I am.

  2. Glad you got a lot of great stuff. :)

Nick and I didn't go out near as early as you did. After my family left at 7:30, we went to Jos. A. Bank to get him a coat. Their topcoats were 75% off, and cashmere scarves were $30 down from $120. Then on the way home, we stopped by a nearby mall that shockingly wasn't crowded. (Parking lot was less than half full.) And I'm glad we did because of Gap's 50% off sale. I got a cute work shirt there, gray pants at Banana Republic, and a belt from Talbot's along with Nick's jeans from Gap. I was excited since they were all things we needed anyway.

  3. Wow, those are some great deals!! Great job! :)

  4. Your hubby will be over the moon with the Margaritaville maker, we got one for our wedding and it is SO awesome!

  5. You got some great deals!! :)

  6. We didn't end up getting up way early - I think we went to bed when you starting your shopping! We missed out on a bunch of deals but I guess that's good because we didn't spend the money.
