Wishful Wednesday: Bed Bath and Beyond

Dear Bed Bath and Beyond,

Really? Your e-mails make me a little crazy. Why do you have to send things that look like this:

I get this during the day, when I'm thinking about a housewarming party, and I really just want to drop all of my paycheck on these THINGS, instead of on our mortgage.

Not cool, BB&B.

Especially this:

Really, I am SWOONING thinking of how much I want this to serve fun food at our party in. But $80? So not in my budget right now. It's just not. Not even with a 20% off coupon.

Sigh. Don't you just love those e-mails that show up in your inbox in the middle of the day and make you lose it a little over some fabulous items that now you just HAVE TO HAVE?

Anybody with me?

Happy Wishful Wednesday,
XOXO,
Mrs. Jones

  1. Completely with you on this one! I go weak in the knees for the things in emails from Paper Source! I am always like, "I have to go, RIGHT NOW!"

Sigh...oh, the budget! How I loathe you sometimes!

Oh, and I've been traveling for a while and just now get to say it, Congratulations on your new home!!

  3. There are SO many things that I want right now and just aren't on a law student and spouse budget. Ugh. Stupid marketing.

  4. Yes, this happens to me too. But, instead of buying it, I add it to my Amazon Wish List. I wrote a post about it here: http://www.thisbeautifulthing.com/2010/05/gift-giving-made-easy.html perhaps you should start one for Mr. Jones to browse...

  5. Yes! I have this problem too! I really need to stop checking my personal email account during the day because then I'm tempted to spend hours online shopping! Half the time I just load my imaginary cart full of wonderful things and then leave the site, but sometimes I just HAVE to buy. Those coupons are SO TEMPTING! :)
