Christmas break entertainment...

One of the best parts of my job is the long break we have over the holidays. In total, I'm off for 11 days straight, and I love the time to unwind, prep, and get reorganized for the new year.

I also love catching up on books, movies, and tv shows. I thought you might enjoy hearing about what I've gotten to read, and what I've loved!

With some family, we curled up one afternoon and watched Gone (loved it!) and Joyful Noise (it was a girl movie)! Gone was better than I thought it was going to be. It wasn't too scary, but it was suspenseful and had a great story.

As far as books go, I read kind of fast, so during the 5 days we spent at my in-laws, I tore through six books. All six of them were Christian fiction, and it was just the kind of happy, lighthearted and uplifting stuff I love to read, especially around the holidays.

The two Tracie Peterson books, along with the Francine Rivers book were also historical fiction. That's my favorite combination, for sure. If you haven't read anything by Francine Rivers (whose best-known work is definitely Redeeming Love), you need to pick something of hers up. This book was probably second only to Redeeming Love in my book.

And last but not least, my last few days have been consumed by Army Wives. I've turned it on and used it as my motivation to keep going through organizing, bathroom cleaning, and more. My house is almost spotless, and I don't feel like I've had to do any work. It's awesome. Any other Army Wives fans out there?

XOXO,
Mrs. Jones

  7. I love Army Wives. I am just about to start season 6 pt. 2. Army Wives is one of the best shows on TV out there.

I really loved the movie Gone. I didn't expect much from that movie, but I was pleasantly surprised.
